• Is Photo Therapy Treatment Safe?

Light technology has been utilized in Europe for the past 10 years. It is effective and works in harmony with the body’s own healing and pain-relieving mechanisms. There are no harmful side effects and it is safe even if used for long periods of time or several times during the same day.

  • What will the treatment do for my skin?

Firms, tightens, tones, oxygenates, detoxifies, reduces puffiness, softens scars and lines and hydrates the skin. This treatment also stimulates collagen, improves elasticity and gives the skin a radiant glow.

  • Does it hurt?

No. Treatment is non-thermal and clients find it very relaxing with no discomfort or downtime.

  • When will I start seeing results?

Treatments are progressive. You will notice enhanced correction with each treatment. For optimum results, six treatments are recommended two weeks apart.

  • What is the difference between Sapphire 3 Photo Abrasion and Sapphire 3 Abrasion?

Sapphire Abrasion is a non-thermal and suction-free process that employs a variable-speed rotating tip with sapphire granules to ablate outer layers of skin deeply and painlessly. Dry and wet abrasion is performed allowing for varying depths of exfoliation followed by an alternating pressure massage to allow lymphatic drainage and detoxification.

Sapphire 3 Photo Abrasion – is also a non-thermal and suction-free abrasion process that employs a vibrating sapphire head coupled with red LED light therapy. Dry and wet photo abrasion is performed, allowing for varying depths of exfoliation. A Photo Lymphatic Drainage procedure follows – an alternating pressure massage that allows lymphatic drainage and detoxification. The patient is exposed to red LED throughout.

    Red monochromatic light – Aids in the stimulation of cells, increasing RNA and DNA synthesis, stimulation of the fibroblasts in the connective tissue, producing collagen, elasticity and firmness of the skin;

Blue L.E.D. therapy – Exposure to blue light induces photo excitation of bacterial porphyrins, single oxygen production, and subsequent bacterial destruction, and

Lymphatic drainage – Slow moving, alternating pressure device combines high-frequency and red L.E.D. technology to stimulate interstitial and lymphatic circulation.

  • How long does the Sapphire 3 treatment take?

The complete Sapphire Photo Abrasion treatment takes 45 minutes. Sapphire Abrasion takes 30 minutes. Many patients opt for the full treatment program.

  • How many Sapphire 3 Photo Abrasion treatments are needed?

Depending on the desired results and the area being treated, physicians are recommending 4 to 6 treatments.

  • How often should Sapphire 3 Abrasion treatments be given?

Most physicians are recommending a weekly or bi-weekly program.

  • Is Sapphire 3 Photo Abrasion painful?

No. Sapphire Photo Abrasion is non-thermal and patients report no discomfort or pain associated with the treatments.

  • How long does it take to see results?

Treatments are progressive and you will notice more correction with each treatment. Patients are reporting changes as early as the first treatment.

  • Can I combine with other skin care treatments?

Yes, treatments can be administered alone or in conjunction with other skin care treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers, acid peels and skin rejuvenating lasers. When combined with other treatments Sapphire Photo Abrasion is proven to accelerate the results of the other treatments being administered.

During your initial appointment, a knowledgeable trained esthetician will conduct an interview and complete evaluation of your skin to get a clear picture of your treatment priorities. Your technician will then choose the appropriate protocol(s) to address your areas of concern. The treatment will begin by properly preparing your skin with specific skincare according to your skin.

The next step is DIAMOND MICRODERMABRASION to remove the outermost layer of the skin so the appropriate amount of photo energy can be absorbed.

We then use our Swiss made Cold Laser Unit which contains an inerchangeable pen device with an ionization chamber which enhances the activity of the phytoactive and vitamin infused gels used during this treament and act as carriers to penetrate the light deep into the cells for deep rejuvenation at the cellular level.
The results are apparent from very 1st treatment.

The 3rd and final step of this treatment is the SAPPHIRE 3 panel which exposes the skin to specific wavelengths of light that will stimulate the cellular renewal process and begin the reparative process. Finally, we apply specific topicals to the surface of the skin to start rebuilding, relenishing and protecting the exposed skin cells.

Treatments are approximately 45-60 minutes, depending on client’s needs.
